This Week in Speech

February 16-February 20: This week, we will be reading Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buchner. We will be decorating snowmen using their target sounds. They will be bringing these home to practice!

Monday, Feb. 16 is a school holiday for Washington's birthday.

Update: School closed on Feb.17-18 due to inclement weather.

                                                        Great job, Kiddos!

February 9-February 13: This week, we will be reading Llama Llama, I Love You by Anna Dewdney. Students will be making Valentine's crafts using their speech sounds. Asking them questions such as who they made the card for, how they made the card, and what words did they use on their card will help them practice their good speech sounds in words, sentences, and conversation.

Friday, February 13 is a student holiday.

February 2-February 6: This week, we will be reading Clifford's Valentines by Norman Bridwell. Students will be making "Valentine's Day Speech Books" using their speech words to bring home and practice this week.

January 26-January 30: This week, we will be reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Students will be creating their very own caterpillars using their speech words to bring home and practice!

Some of the students' great work!
