Music Resources:

I thought I would put together a list of music websites for you all to enjoy while we're out. I've included descriptions and a recommendation for what grades they might work best for, but feel free to try any of them!

Just copy/paste this link and it will take you to this list:

Music Resources

I have also put together a few Spotify playlists for you! One is made up of songs that your students will recognize from music class. The other is a list of action songs to get those kiddos up and moving. Here they are for FREE: cutt.ly/WtvNZiA cutt.ly/KtvNVEy

Education

I have a BM in Music Education from The University of Memphis. Go Tigers! I am certified in K-12 Music Education. I have also completed my certification in Orff-Shulwerk through The University of Memphis Summer Orff Institute. Orff Music is a hands on, engaging approach to music education that is based in elemental music and play. I am very passionate and proud to be an Orff Music teacher!

Experience

I have a long history as a music lover. I started with piano lessons while in elementary school, but unfortunately I didn't stick with it - don't ask me to play anything too complicated on the piano, please! In 6th grade I joined my junior high band program as a clarinet player, and I knew I had found my home. I stayed in band all the way through high school and participated in the marching band until I graduated. While attending the University of Memphis I participated in the school's Wind Ensemble, University Orchestra, Symphonic Band, basketball pep band, and of course, the school's marching band, the Mighty Sound of the South!

After graduating from the University of Memphis in 2015, I spent three years teaching music and choir at Immaculate Conception Cathedral School in Memphis, TN. While I was there I taught pre-kindergarten through 8th grade general music and had two choirs! I am so excited to be a Walls Gator!

Bio

I live in Cordova, TN along with my two cats and my rescue dog, Nora. I love to read and make music, and I especially love to sew. I'm ready for a great second year as a Walls Gator!
